Education & Life-Skills

Life-Skills, Mental Health and Well-Being…

Looking at the relationship between Ontario classroom curriculum and acquiring life-skills and habits.

I have an undergraduate in psychology, and have worked and volunteered with children, youth and adults within the mental health field.   I am interested in the details of Ontario’s education curriculum and how one acquires essential life-skills and habits over time.

This is a project I have been wanting to do for a few years.  Fortunately, this blog has given me the freedom and opportunity to just do, rather than waiting.

For now, I have included three links.  Two links are connected to the Ministry of Education homepage and their teacher curriculum outlines from grades K-12, while the third link connects to Ontario Skills Passport database provided by both Ontario Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.

I will be researching, analyzing information and will make posts regarding my ideas over the next few months.
